I am a lifelong photographer. As a teen, I saved the money I earned through doing chores to buy my first SLR, a Pentax ME Super, which proved to be the beginning of my passion for photography. That camera was my first big purchase, and I couldn't have been prouder or more excited to own it.  With encouragement from my parents and my constant desire to learn from others, I took a number of International Center for Photography courses, which furthered my love for this art form and led to my 4+ decade (and counting) career in photography. Traveling the world for both business and pleasure has given me the opportunity to see many countries and cultures, and I've always tried to have a camera at the ready.

While I favor landscape, cityscape, and wildlife photography, I've been trying to step outside my comfort zone and experiment with different genres. My most recent departure is street photography and a bit of macro, as you can see from my "Perfect Strangers" and "Up Close and Personal" portfolios. Looking back over my favorite photos of the past seven years, what sticks out to me most are the themes of nature and its beauty, the progression of natural light throughout the day, and the intersections between humans and our natural world. As someone who has always loved the outdoors, my photography feels very true to who I am, and I look forward to sharing it with others.
